Daily Living Skills encompass the essential abilities we use in our daily lives, such as cooking, cleaning, managing finances, and utilizing public transportation. These skills are the building blocks of independence and self-sufficiency. At Home of Choice, we specialize in providing personalized support for individuals with disabilities, helping them learn and master these skills. Our dedicated team understands that each person’s needs and goals are unique. Whether you’re looking to acquire new skills or simply require occasional assistance, we’re here to assist you on your journey towards greater self-reliance.
We believe that Daily Living Skills are the cornerstone of a fulfilling life. At Home of Choice, we are committed to helping you achieve your goals, no matter what support you require. With our support, you can gain confidence and independence in performing these everyday tasks, ultimately leading to an enhanced quality of life.
We can support you with:
Our Support Workers can come to your home for short, or long periods of time to help you out with tasks such as morning and evening routines and much more. Our team can provide anywhere from several hours per week to several hours per day. But it’s best to check first what support your NDIS plan includes.
Depending on your support needs and goals, we can either undertake these activities for you, or we can help you learn to do some, or even all, of these tasks on your own. Let us know what you want to learn and we’ll make it happen.
Over time, this may mean you increase your skills, and need less support from us or other service providers. Additionally, if one of your goals is to travel on your own, we can help make this happen.
This might be catching public transport, understanding road safety, or getting your driver’s licence.
